One of my students likes the Holy Moly phrase. One day I said something pretty shocking. He looked up from his paper and shouted, in a country hick accent,
"Holy Moly Canoli Scholie!"
He stopped, looked down at his paper,
and said under his breath to himself,
"Hmph, That was a good one!"
He then repeated to himself,
"Holy Moly Canoli Scholie!"
He was so proud of himself. I will admit,
I was pretty proud of him as well!
